New Trends for Your Home

There are a lot of trends that were in last year and have already gone out of style this year. Ripple Creek Homes is always making sure that we are keeping up with the trends. That being said, we want to shed some light on what is in and what is out this year! Try and keep up as we go along.

What's Out:

Gray on gray: Yes, that is right, we are saying that all the gray on gray in your home is now out of style.

Pale Monochromatic Color Schemes: Many rooms were done this way. Whether it was all taupe, gray or white… It is unfortunately no longer in trend.

Perfectionism: In recent years, it was to have everything perfect with no scratches on anything. It has made it so that people feel uncomfortable in a room. More people don’t mind the scratches and wear and tear in their stone and furniture. It helps make you feel more at ease in your home.

Standard White Doors: White has been a very popular clean look with doors in the home, but times are changing now.

Cool Tones: There has been a huge color change in cool tones. For many years it was the trend to paint these types of tones in your home.

What’s In:

Grandmillennial style: What that means is you are looking at a very traditional look with a touch of contemporary in it. When you try and picture this, have in mind very clean lined furniture with some modern art in the room. This has become a popular look.

Earth Tones: More and more people are wanting something that warms their home. Earth tones are the perfect solution for this.

Dark Painted Doors: Yes, out with the white and in with the dark. This will help to add a lot of character to the space.

Layering New and Old: Going with a clean look does not tell anyone who you are and what your story has been. If you have a closet full of old things, then bring them out to mix with the new and create your story.

Ripple Creek Homes understand what goes into designing a home. What we have learned is that the most important thing is that you love it. Every time you walk in the front door; we want you to feel that every inch of the home is who you are. If you would like to take a look at the homes we have built, then give us a call today!
